At Poggio, we are lucky enough to live right in the heart of this wonderful corner of Tuscany, doing the work we love, happily sharing everything it has to offer with our guests through sporting, cultural, and wellness activities.
Thermal baths for wellness and relaxation
Previously inhabited by the Etruscans and Romans, it comes as no surprise that Val d’Orcia has its own Thermal Baths that continue to welcome visitors with their beneficial watersforan enchanting experience of relaxation and well-being. This is why we have created an exclusive agreement for our guests with the Centro Termale Fonteverde in San Casciano dei Bagnicon overlooking the beautiful hills of Val d’Orcia, which is located just 10 minutes from Poggio.

In November 2022, an extraordinary discovery in San Casciano dei Bagni uncovered 20 bronze statues from the Roman era in perfect condition.This event added even more charm to our territory, which has been inhabited since the time of the Etruscans and Romans as evidenced by the numerous artifacts they left behind. Horseback riding, hiking, biking, and e-biking are our favorite activities to share with our guests.
Horseback riding
At Poggio, we are especially passionate about horses. In fact, we’re actually a FISE-affiliated equestrian center. Our riding school also organizes riding courses for childrenas well as horseback riding excursions that explore our farm and Val d’Orcia.
Hiking
Several of the trails crossing the Val d’Orcia Park start from Poggio, allowing you to hike and bicycle your way across the UNESCO heritage hills as you enjoy the magical atmosphere. This method of slow tourism makes it possible tofully appreciatethe beauty and nature of the territory. We also have itineraries that explore the 110 hectares of our farmwhere we introduce you to our crops and livestock.
